I love when one of these songs comes on my ipod when it's on shuffle or when Fly92 has their "90s Throwback Weekend" on the radio. My Name Is is one of my favorite songs to listen to now and I still know all of the words to Wannabe. Even though it's a little bit embarrassing, I remember when I was little I used to put on Bye, Bye, Bye, by NSYNC, and I would dance to it all by myself, and when I was in the shower I used to always sing along to Britney Spears because I wanted to be a a singer like her when I grew up.
Who would have ever thought that the innocent girl with a hit album would become a provocative and controversial performer. Britney Spears began her career as a child in the Mickey Mouse Club. She 
then beacme very popular in mainstream music and pop culture with her debut album, Hit me One More Time. She was even credited with bringing back teen pop during the 1990s. In 2000 Britney began to "go bad" when she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards. She ripped off her clothes to uncover a revealing skin-colored outfit follwed by a dance routine. Critics say that her performance that night was the beginning of her becoming a provocatvie performer.
